Announcement: Holiday Print Sale! (Postcards!)

Journal Entry: Mon Nov 29, 2010, 12:04 AM

New Item: Postcards!

Hello Folks,

Well, November is on it's way out and with a last gasp of bitterly cold wind here in Toronto, it is beginning to look a lot like December. I hope everyone is having a great pre-holiday. If you're like me and usually wait a while before making a brave foray into shopping centers for gift-hunting you might be interested in this next announcement!

Starting immediately, I am offering a new item: Postcards!

I've started out with three different types based on some of my more popular deviations: Aegis, A Tender Moment and Happy Year of the Tiger. Depending on interest, I may expand upon those three so don't be shy in offering suggestions! As for size, they are 4-3/16in x 5-7/16in, a standard size.

I've been trying to offer postcards for quite some time though the prices many printing establishments demanded were too much for me to pass on to you. However, I've found a keeper and am finally able to offer them at a fair price. How much are they you ask? Well:

You can pick up any of your choice for $1 each OR get a set of 5 for $4 and a set a 10 for $8! Mix and match depending on your favourites!

I'm offering these just in time for the 2010 Holiday Sale I'm having right now (See below). Get yours today!

Thanks for the interest and a big thanks for those who have purchased some of my work in the past few weeks. I appreciate it so much, you have no idea.

-Kuba

Payment

Paypal is preferred. Please contact me by note or email (hewhowalkswithtigers [at] gmail.com) to discuss alternative methods. My Paypal account is the same as my email so on the off chance you feel like throwing money at me, that's the place to send it.

Why buy from you? What do you have to offer that others don't?

I would like to think that my work speaks for itself. However, there are more reasons. When you buy prints from me, you know that you are supporting someone you know rather than some large multi-national corporation. Also, as I'm currently in the hunt for a job, the income I get from my prints is very much appreciated. When I do find work, the income I'll receive from my prints will help me work towards buying a more advanced camera, which will ultimately assist me in providing more photos of greater technical quality. Furthermore, this will help in my goal on DeviantArt of raising more awareness for conservation and the animals I photograph.

In my experience, a day or two for printing and a couple days for shipping. One can't be too sure with the holidays around the corner, but in any case you're close enough that it shouldn't take too long.

Sounds great :)
How much would postage be?

It depends on what you order. Once I get that information from people, I go through the postal service to determine an accurate amount so that people aren't paying more than they have to. Did you have anything specific in mind?

I was looking at small prints or postcards. It really depends on the postage though

A single small print or postcard would be around $2-3 to the UK. However, the more you order, the more bang for your buck. Multiple prints thereafter would only marginally increase shipping.

I'd love to get something to frame from you, but I am always worried the shipping would be more expensive than the picture itself T_T
Do you by any chance live near *Falcolf? that way I could buy her book and a print from you an pay only one shipping :XD: *Canada is big, fat chance*

Unfortunately, I don't live near Falcolf, but depending on the print size, shipping doesn't usually cost too much. If it is just the print, it can fit in a standard large letter. If you were ever serious about getting a print, I could always take a run to the post office and give an accurate estimate.
