FREELAND BLOG: Khao Yai

Journal Entry: Sun Apr 8, 2012, 8:04 AM

FREELAND Blog: Khao Yai

I've updated my blog to include a little jaunt I had in Thailand's most famous park, Khao Yai National Park. In this entry I talk about somber stuffed tigers, a stubborn elephant and an exploding sambar deer. Feel free to take a look at the rest of my entries on my blog.

I wish I could be more active here, but I've been happily busy helping FREELAND. I've been up to some pretty exciting stuff. The only problem is it difficult to find time to talk about everything! Stay posted!

Not gonna lie.... it was the exploding deer that ultimately made me click the link to read.
Now the creepy tiger cub is going to haunt me.

You seemded to be enjoying yourself! XD
I laughed so hard at the guar nomming shot.

I've been to that place. The stuffed tigers look even more decayed than when I was there the last time. :( This is sad.

Oh! A monitor. XD There are quite a few at the water cannals near my house.
Lucky them, that sambar deer could keep them full for quite a while! (and lucky you for being able to witness this!)

So... that's the elephant you were talking about. he seemed to be enjoying himself, trolling all the tourists. :P It's always an amazing thing to see wild elephants......even though they're blocking you for hours......worth it.

And that's exactly how I felt when I had to leave Kao Yai to go back to Bangkok. I feel...hasitated. I miss the fresh air and the peace in that place.

P.S. I'm about to get to go to Kao Yai to do research on some otters very soon!! I can't wait! :DDDD It's going to be my senior project! (AKA graduational project. A student must do one research about anything they like to graduate. Mine is Otter DNA!)
